It's Pop Up Miles Championship Week!
Golden Tickets on the line Tuesday with the Glass Elevator Thursday
Hello Runners!
We’re excited to see you Tuesday and Thursday night! Yes, the final regular season Pop Up Miles event is Tuesday at Williams Stadium (details below). Want a Golden Ticket to the Sir Walter Qualifer/Pop Up Miles Championship? Run 4:34 or better on the Men’s side or 5:28 or better on the Women’s side. We’ll have the 800 meters and the 4x400 Tuesday night as well.
For Thursday, we’ll be at Meredith College for the Sir Walter Qualifier. We’ll have the Over and Under 5:30 Miles as usual, and then we’ll the have Women’s Championship Mile, the Men’s Championship Mile, followed by the final 4x400 of the year. And then we’ll have a little get together at Raleigh Brewing afterwards!
Much thanks to ChicknLegs for sponsoring the events this week!

What to know about the Pop Up Miles (if you haven’t been before)…
This year we're back at Williams Stadium every week, behind Athens Drive High School (and near Lake Johnson Pool)! This track is all weather/rubberized, so spikes are permitted! The track opens at 6pm. It’s not the big asphalt rectangle track by the high school! On Thursday night, we’re at Meredith College!
A few important things to review for this week:
Sir Walter Running is paying $250 each week to rent the track, so please donate in the box at the event, or Venmo @SirWalterMiler so we can continue to use this nice track. We also have $5 weekly or $25 season options now!
Parking - Tuesday: There's a big gravel lot! Make sure you drive to the end of Jaguar Park Drive (not the Athens Drive Football field)
Thursday: Park in the front at Meredith (unless we post otherwise due to weather)Races start at 7pm sharp!
